House Ways & Means Committee Budget to be released
There is a press conference scheduled for this Wednesday, April 16th in Room A-1/A-2 of the State House in which the House of Representative's initial budget will be released.
The budget process -- among the most important functions of government -- begins with the Governor's recommendations, followed by the House, and then the Senate. You can find the Governor's budget bill here.
After the House releases their bill, there is a period of debate and the possibility of adding amendments. Most likely, this will occur during the week of 4/28 - 5/2.
